What do you think is the primary purpose of the United States Government?

The U.S. Government is a little to big for it's originally designed "breeches." What do you think is the primary purpose of the United States federal government?

I suggest looking to the Preamble:

"We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

to stay out of the peoples way

To keep us poor and penniless.

Protect the borders.

They have failed. No hope in site for fixing it. All we have left running are pro-amnesty globalists.

To spend billions to duplicate what the States already do and invent jobs for people who do nothing.

I believe government's sole responsibility is to protect our god given freedoms such as free speech, ect. and keep its people safe on the roads and from any other enemies. After that, they need to get out of our lives and let us live as free citizens.

I think the founding fathers are rolling in their graves for the recent failures of the federal government. It was suppose to keep order and prosperity for its people. TO ensure the state are doing everything they could for its people. It was also suppose to be able to build a stronger America with ties and a model of what a republic should look like for others to follow-nowadays i don't know we have th largest and the best trained military in the world and yet we have lost our political power we once had and admired for. Let's see with the new President if they can take us back to an era where we were the BEST OF BEST!

the primary purpose of the United States Government is,.....to give you anything you want,.....to raise your children,.....pay for your housing,.....to take care of you from cradle to grave,.....to make you happy through out your life,.....

I think the primary purpose is to defend the country, deliver the mail, and collect taxes...the feds should leave the rest up to each state.

To convince all citizens that they can't live without MORE government.
