What Is The Type of Government That Heavily Monitors Its Society?

If you're a game-fan, it's similar to the government in Mirror's Edge.

Is it a Totalitarian government or what?

It's not so much communist dictatorship as many people will say. What people don't relies is when it comes to dictators as long as you keep your mouth shut about them they will pretty much let you live your life. In Mirror's Edge that's really like what you see in movies and stuff with the government squads and cameras everywhere and everything is recorded (not being anti U.S.) but imagine it more like if the U.S. became communist government it would look kinda like that since the U.S. if it wanted to could monitor all phones, cameras, computers, etc.. to complete control. So basically a extreme form of communism like China but even less rights.

Totalitarian, yes. Like Stalin or the Cheka in East Germany.
