Government?

what do you think are some areas in peoples lives in which the government shouldnt interfere?

The government should not and cannot interfere in any area of a person's life unless the person is limiting or preventing another person's right to life, liberty, or property.

abuse,child negelect,poverty

Government should only provide what people cannot provide for themselves, such as infrastructure (roads, bridges), defense (military, police), etc.. Government is a big dumb hulking neanderthal - bureaucratic, slow, inefficent on a good day. Government providing health care, education, retirement, welfare - think of the BILLIONS of dollars allocated to these programs every year at the federal, state and local levels. And how would you rate the government at providing these services? C? D? F? Don't you think of all the individual enterprise in this country that entrepreneurs, professionals, businesses could do it better and cheaper? Is there really any question?

Our government and its many many layers is too big!

The Government should not interfere in the Personal life of a Law abiding individual within the four walls of his residence.

The government should never "interfere" with any part of someone's life.

Good question. Today's technology allows for anyone to access to just about anything. I think that should be able to track what they deem as "suspicious" activity of potentially dangerous and shady figures.

Is there any area that the government should interfere? Try and name a department that functions better than it's private counter-part. Private schools graduate better prepared students than public schools. Welfare money gets gobbled up in bureaucracy's while a much higher percentage of money from charities gets to the people it is intended for. The prison systems "rehabilitation" policy's lead to an incredibly high percentage of second time offenders. Even private delivery services like UPS and Federal Express are a lot more efficient than the US Post Office. If the government was a private company it would have gone out of business a long time ago. I don't know about you, but with a track record like that I want the government in my life as little as possible, especially interfering.
