How did the Roman government mirror the Roman Family and social structure?

I need a quick explanation (thesis) on how the Roman Government mirrored the Roman family and social structure and how it relates to the fall of the Republic

The Curia were ethnic in nature, and thus were organized on the basis of the early Roman family, or, more specifically, on the basis of the thirty original Patrician (aristocratic) clans.[11] The Curia assembled into the Curiate Assembly, for legislative, electoral, and judicial purposes. The Curiate Assembly passed laws, elected Consuls (the only elected magistrates at the time),[12] and tried judicial cases. Consuls always presided over the assembly.
