How much does our government pay Blackwater Corporation for guard duties in Iraq?

Not sure if I ran out of allowable letters above. I would like to know how much our government is paying to Blackwater per month or year or whatever for its services in Iraq.

Total contracts for blackwater so far in both iraq and Afghanistan.

Total 880 milion dollars.

Blackwater has aboyt 1,000 employess in iraq.

That number includes the support personal also.

There are almost 700 IC's in Iraq for BW. (Triple Canopy and Dyncorp have similar #'s; other countries as well.) BW pays their men $500/day that they are in-country - NEVER per hour. (They are paid MUCH less for State-side work.) The typical 6-month contract for them is actually 7 months: in-country for 90 days, home for 30, back for 90 more days. For completing a contract, they receive a 10% bonus, which gives them the potential to make $550/day and thus $99,000. It comes to $148,500 for a 270-day (1 year) contract - before taxes, of course - for them to put themselves in front of the bullets that are directed at the people they protect over seas. That comes to about $103,950,000 for the IC's. Then there's the facility, the vehicles, the armor, the weapons, etc....

about 1 cent per minute

Figure the average person working for Blackwater gets paid in the 6 figure range. During the aftermath of Katrina, they were being paid 1000.00 per hour to provide security in N.O. Not sure how many folks they have on the ground in Iraq, but I'm sure it is in the billions....................
