They shouldn't we don't need it to survive, only the animals that live there need it.

Now before you say we need it for Oxygen that is a lie, yes the trees do give us oxygen, but we get most of it from a plant in the ocean, not the Amazon Rain Forest.

That was a myth created by people who wanted donations to save it, and it worked.

Our government can't, it does not govern that part of the world. The best they could do would be put trade sanctions against the nations it is in.
