What is this government initiative for free laptops?

What is this government initiative for free laptops? I just heard that Year 9 students can get a free laptop and get to keep it forever. Can you provide any useful links?

In the USA? Depends on your state. But I seriously doubt there is any such program.

The so called "education revolution" has not started yet and probably won't happen as the government is out of money!
