They should stop wasting time blaming guns and start working on the real social issues that give rise to violence. Yes, that's a much tougher problem. Easier to just blame guns.
Politicians are lazy.
They can do like New Hampshire and Alaska. Any law abiding citizen of the USA can carry a gun concealed without having to jump through hoops. They can also stop making places like schools and colleges "killing zones" by banning all guns.
Had at any of these massacres a law abiding citizen had a gun, the massacre would have been stopped or greatly reduced. And it has happened in some cases. Search for shooting that were stopped because a law abiding citizen had a gun and stopped it. The media does not report those as it does not further their political agenda.
And do not tell me the liberal press does not have an agenda. You all claim Rush has one and we agree. Why can't you agree about your side too?
We are the government. What should we do? We should start with understanding our role and responsibility as citizens, how much power we have when united, but that's wishful thinking because we sit like baby birds in the nest waiting for mama bird (government) to feed us, direct us, protect us and wipe our butts. America was established and intended to govern itself, we are becoming a socialist society where soon 3% (politicians) will control the other 97. Enjoy it :) its coming. Next, they'll be taking our guns away. Whose guns you ask? All those registered. And who registers their weapons? Not criminals, so just the good ol' law abiding citizens and like any other illegal item, only criminals and those wise enough to stash one will have one to fend off intruders. Make carrying a loaded gun mandatory for all citizens. If they are caught without a gun, then fine them.
This guy would have only got off one shot and it would have been over. No "mass" anything when you're killed the instance you decide to shoot everyone up.

The New American magazine reminds us that March 25th marked the 16th anniversary of Kennesaw, Georgia's ordinance requiring heads of households (with certain exceptions) to keep at least one firearm in their homes.

We have rejected God and until we come back to God then we will be in the hands of the Devil. This same thing happened in the times of Noah. Violence was an everyday occurrence.

If you take away guns, then only the criminals will have guns and we will be defenseless against them.
It's up to people to start paying attention to the people around them that need help.The ones that are ready to crack up.And hurt themselves as well as those around them.How many people will die this year in auto accidents,because someone has to use their cell phone while driving?Or while Driving drunk?Has the government been able to prevent that?Thanks for the two points and the therapy.
They would have to correct many things
first of all, if u have noticed, the more secular and the more liberal this society has become, it has also become more corrupted and violent
so they would have to look and review and change the educative system, the media and the values that are being taught to the children
if u have the time watch The Arrivals in Youtube start in the part 24 ...some episodes are very good and you will see how they have corrupted us
Sadly like today who is to know I guess its up to the families of these people to check and see that there family members are stable and watch for signs from co workers that seem in distress but I guess finally there is really nothing one can do if someone has there mind made up by the way that is some name you have there mr. Ilitrt is right. And Cassandra, assault rifles have always been very highly restricted. There have, in fact, been exactly two instances of legally owned assault rifles being used in a crime in the history of the US, both in Ohio, and in one of those cases, the murderer was a policeman.
The killer's family should take care of their own mental health first. Second, the goverment should put more money to help these crazy people staying in hospitals or on medications. Can't blame everything on the goverment.
Make assault rifles illegal and allow the cops to use them.
