What was the government like in Greece during the 1600s or the renaissance?

My group and I have a powerpoint due in English class about Shakespeare. The topic we have is the government in greece during the renaissance and we can not find anything about this topic. Help please.

The islands that constitute modern Greece were at that time either Venetian or Ottoman colonies so the populations had very little political power. The Greek mainland came under Ottoman control and it was administered by Turkish authorities who allowed virtually no autonomy to the Greeks.

Very Turkish. Greece was ruled by the Turks, (well the Ottoman Empire) from 1453 to 1829. However, some of the islands were ruled by Venice.
